Welcome to the Rotorua Bridge Club\u2019s website. Formed in 1955, Rotorua Bridge Club is one of the strongest bridge clubs in the region, with about 150 members ranging from novices to grandmasters.
\nThe club is situated not far from town, in Neil Hunt Park, on Tarawera Rd, just near the Te Ngae roundabout. (See map)<\/a><\/p>\n

Learn Bridge<\/a><\/strong>
\nIf you've never played bridge and are interested in learning, Rotorua Bridge Club runs a series of lessons each year. See the beginners\u2019 page<\/strong><\/a> for more information about learning bridge. Click here<\/a><\/strong> to find out what players enjoy most about bridge.<\/p>\n

Playing Sessions<\/strong><\/a>
\nThere are four playing sessions each week \u2013 on Monday afternoons, Wednesday and Thursday evenings and Friday afternoons. Visitors are always very welcome to all sessions, with the  exception of team competitions, where it is often not possible to fit in an extra pair. If you\u2019re in Rotorua alone and would like a partner, please contact a partnership steward<\/a> \u2013 we can nearly always find you someone to play with. Most members use the Acol system, but Standard American is also played by some.<\/p>\n

Kelly Peirse Teams<\/span><\/h4>\n

Congratulations to the winning team of Jack James, Wayne Burrows, Gary Chen and Grant Jarvis in the Kelly Peirse Memorial Teams played on Saturday. There were 24 teams of a very high calibre taking part. Special congratulations to the handicap winners, the local team of Wendy Blackman, Suellyn Caudwell, Christine de Vries and Hilary Williams. Art in the Park<\/span><\/h4>\n

\nWe had a great day at Art in the Park. A lot of club members came down during the day to take turns playing and promoting the club. Thanks to Dennis and Roger who were there early with Val to help set up, and to Val for all her work organising. We had a lot of interest from passersby, and Hilary did a great job of encouraging people to sign up for the lessons.<\/p>\n
