One pair from Rotorua were at a tournament recently where they were watching the prize pool dwindle until there were just two options left &#8211; a pair of socks and a distinctly unlovely vase. Then just the vase was left &#8211; \u201cplease don\u2019t win this, Rex\u201d thought Joyce &#8211; and of course he did!<br \/>\nBut, just as can happen with the cards, bad luck can turn to good. By chance an antique dealer was valuing items for them, when they hadn\u2019t had a chance to dispose of it yet, and eyed it up. No, it wasn\u2019t a priceless Ming dynasty vase, but it was Chinese and worth $100.
