A great day was had on Sunday 13 March at the inaugural Kaharoa Kokako Trust Charity Tournament, held in honour of Anne Managh, a popular and well respected club member who died last year. All proceeds from the tournament went to the trust nest egg, a cause dear to Anne, who was a key member. Wonderful food was provided by trust members, and the raffles were well supported. A beautiful quilt donated by Ruth Lewis was won by local player Betty Souter.
As far as the bridge went there was a dead tie for first between Ian and Pam Moore and Trevor Hodgson and Roger Dempster – the right to the first prize was decided by (what else!) the cut of a card. Handicap winners were Megan and Dave Dravitzki who were third overall.
