The Kelly Peirse Memorial Teams, held on Saturday, was very successful. There were 24 tables and a very strong field, with players from 22 different clubs around the North Island entered!
Congratulations to the winners, the team of Lysandra Zheng, Tim Pan, Zachary Yan and Jeremy Fraser-Hoskin from the Howick, Akarana and Auckland clubs. Runners-up were the team of Herman Yuan, Yuzhong Chen, Murray Wood and Rachelle Pelkman.
The handicap winners (and top Rotorua team) were Elspeth Goodrick, Wendy Blackman, Suellyn Caudwell and Cathy Ward.
Thank you to everyone who helped, participated and brought food. Special thanks must go to Wendy Fraser who worked so hard and efficiently in the kitchen, as she so often does, and also made some delicious nibbles. Thanks also to to her helpers and our caddie Grace, our fill-in team who were called up at the last minute, scorer Jan Spaans and director Phillippa Gardiner, who all contributed to a smooth-running and enjoyable day for everybody.
