The Kelly Peirse Tournament held on Saturday 17 March was a great success. There was a full house for the event and it attracted a very strong field, with players travelling from all over the North Island to take part. The overall winners were the team from Auckland comprising Michael Ware, Matt Brown, Jeter Liu and George Sun. In second place was the team of Clair Liao, Wayne Burrows, Andi Boughey and Carol Richardson. The event was played in a great spirit, and was an enjoyable day for all, even those whose results weren’t so good, with an excellent lunch provided by the club.
It is gratifying for those who work hard behind the scenes to receive positive feedback, so it was nice to receive the following letter – thank you Diane –
Hi All,
Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the Kelly Peirse teams event.
Please thank all those involved in the kitchen and the making of food and lunch preparation – the food was wonderful. So nice to have such a choice and fresh fruit with all those delicious cakes made it extra special. I was SO grateful to be able to have a bun without butter or margarine – that made my day!
Lots of people were commenting about the high standard of catering so I do hope you receive other emails, but, if not, we were all complimenting you on a day well run and well catered.
Kind regards
Diane Emms
