Rotorua hosted BOP teams from Tauranga, Mt Maunganui, Te Puke, Taupo and Whakatane Bridge Clubs to contest the Interclub Ib Thulin Trophy. Unfortunately, we were not able to hold on to the shield, which we had won last year.
In the three divisions, our Intermediate Team won their division, with the Senior and Junior teams outside the top two. Congratulations go to Te Puke who won the Shield for 2021. Great result.
Our intermediate team of Elspeth Goodrick, Wendy Blackman, Colleen Allen and Roger Dempster, as winners, qualify to play in the Waikato/BOP Teams final in Cambridge on August 22nd. Good luck to them!
